BLOODSTOCK PRODUCTS
Life Cover (Mortality)
Pays out if horse dies naturally or is humanely euthanized. The rate of this cover is dependent on the bloodstock class.

Your share owned can be covered independently under this product.
Life Saving Surgery with Critical Care
Covers emergency lifesaving cases in hospital only. Includes operations or treatments in the event of the horse’s life being in immediate danger. Cover is up to R100,000 per event or 8 days in hospital, whichever comes first.

Cover is limited to a specific list of ailments, injuries or procedures in your policy. This cover includes Life Saving Surgery with Critical Care.

Stand alone Life Saving Surgery with Critical Care
Can be taken on its own and covers emergency lifesaving cases in hospital only. Includes operations or treatments in the event of the horse’s life being in immediate danger. Cover is up to R100,000 per event or 8 days in hospital, whichever comes first.

International Transit
Covers the horse for death and/or lifesaving emergency treatment/surgery (if selected) during international transportation and quarantine.

This cover can only be taken with Mortality Cover. It is advisable to take this cover in conjunction with Life Saving Surgery with Critical Care.
Stallion Infertility
Covers cost of the stallion if it becomes infertile due to accident, illness, or disease. We pay for the sum insured.
Additional Information
Must produce a proven breeding record. Cover must be taken with Mortality cover
Congenital Infertility
Covers if stallion is found to be infertile in his first breeding season. We pay for the sum insured.
Additional Information
Cover must be taken with Mortality cover and can only be taken in the stallion’s first breeding season.
Stallion Loss of Income
Covers the loss of possible stallion earnings if the stallion becomes infertile due to accident, illness or disease during breeding season.

Cover will be taken during the southern hemisphere breeding season 1 Sep – 31 Dec.
After Auction Keep Cover
Pays out the spelling, stabling, training dental, farrier and other related fees from fall of hammer for a year (excluding winnings) if the horse dies

This cover has to be taken in conjunction with Mortality cover. Invoices must be submitted in order to claim. Pays up to R12500 pm incl VAT
