We are ISO certified!

Kuda FX is an authorised South African financial services provider (FSP 46310) registered with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and authorised by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) to transact in the capacity as a foreign exchange intermediary. We also subscribe to the South African Association of Treasury Advisors’ (SAATA) FX Global Code.

This means that, amongst other things, we move money for both South African’s and non-South African resident clients across the globe. Whether this movement is due to you relocating abroad, for travel purposes or when converting your South African Rand offshore allowance. We do it all. In fact, since 2022, we have moved over R5 billion overseas.

In order to successfully – and with the correct authority – run our business, there are several types of licensing we must obtain. As a foreign exchange intermediary, we must be registered and licensed with the relevant regulatory authority in South Africa, which is the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), as well as the Financial Services Board (FSB) – which is the regulatory authority for non-banking financial institutions. In addition to this, we must have authorisation from the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) to act in the capacity of a foreign exchange intermediary.

As stated in our opening paragraph, we do – indeed – have all of the above.

But, as a company, we believe that the best way to do business is by ensuring that we are not only compliant with who we have to be compliant with, but that we take extra precautions to ensure that our client’s and our client’s money is handled with the utmost care, due diligence and with the correct authority backing our interactions. After all, we believe in being safe then ever being sorry.

We take our accreditations and the safety of our client’s extremely seriously – as one should.

It’s for this reason that we believed it to be crucial to go beyond our local licensing and obtain globally recognized certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Kuda FX ISO certified

What is ISO?

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide standard-setting organisation composed of national standards bodies from various countries establishing credibility and trust among the companies that can say they have an ISO certification. ISO requires a company to set clear objectives for their business, standardising processes and then explaining them to their employees. It’s all extremely formal and all heavily regulated.

ISO standards are used by many countries around the world such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, China, Canada, and Australia – to name but a few. ISO standards validate the fact that an organisation adheres to global standards of quality assurance, and business. At all times.

According to Indeed

“ISO certification is a credential that validates a business’s fulfilment of requirements relating to quality process standards as defined by the International Standards Organization (ISO).

Standards set forth by the ISO are valuable with regard to international trade as the organization has strict requirements concerning goods. Its ultimate goal is to improve industrial welfare worldwide, increasing levels of safety and security for all.”

Kuda FX is immensely proud to have been awarded the ISO certification 27001 and ISO 9001.

ISO 27001 gives Kuda FX clients a widely recognised international standard for information security management. It provides a framework for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving our information security management system (ISMS).

The ISO 9001 standard sets out the criteria for Kuda FX in a quality management system and is based on several quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, involvement of top management, process approach, evidence-based decision-making, and continual improvement.

Why did we choose to become ISO accredited?

Not only is it our mission to provide absolute best in class service to all our client’s, but we also aim to do so as carefully and securely as possible.

In order to ensure that we always exceed expectations and meet the requirements and standards as set by an international body like ISO, we believe it’s important to always be held accountable and be required to answer for our actions to ISO, should we need to.

That way our clients are ensured of excellent service. At all times. In addition to this, we believe that what is set out on the Indeed website – quite succinctly – sets out our reasons for getting an ISO certification –

“Obtained from third parties, ISO certifications function as proof that a business abides by the standards set forth by the ISO. As such, they help to instil confidence in clients and other interested parties that the business conducts itself efficiently and strives for high quality.

ISO certifications also prove a company’s commitment to important business objectives such as customer satisfaction and production. Some public and private sector entities even request that companies attain ISO certification before they agree to conduct business with them.”

What does this mean for you, our valued clients?

Not only will you receive the best service in the business, but we can also – with confidence – say the following –

  • Best banking products with client onboarding capabilities from anywhere in the world.
  • Transparency and consistency in foreign exchange pricing.
  • A seasoned foreign exchange team with in-depth industry knowledge and specialist expertise.
  • Timeous and reliable service delivery.
  • Clients are able to talk to real people that have their best interests at heart.

We will continue to strive to improve and innovate, making our services better, more secure, and more efficient.

With all the above in mind, we encourage you to get in touch with a Kuda FX professional, like our team at Kuda FX who would be happy to explain the above concepts in further detail to you or provide any other assistance you may require with your needs.

In fact, if you have any queries on the information, we have set out above, please feel free to get in touch with us.

At Kuda FX, we are always in your corner!
